Thanks to Sam Downes, Deputy Director of Engineering for the Town of Brookline, for joining the MMOC’s Water Quality Subcommittee meeting on January 28th. Sam presented an overview of the Willow Pond Dredging and Leverett Pond Bank Stabilization Projects, described on the Town’s website as:
“Maintenance and improvements of Willow Pond include dredging of accumulated sediment, additional plantings, and the installation of an outlet control structure. The bank of Leverett Pond is proposed to be stabilized using a coir log and additional plantings.”
