Front-Page Coverage of the Restoration Project

The November issue of The Fenway News features an update on the Muddy River Restoration Project by Matt Eddy, MMOC Administrator. Matt provides information on invasives mitigation efforts, ongoing water level concerns, tree and shrubbery plantings, and more. The article is intended to inform the public about the status of the multi-focal Project as Phase 2 winds down this year.

Another article in the issue highlights MassDOT’s ambitious vision for replacing the Bowker Overpass, a $90 million project that would “divert roadway runoff to bioretention ponds before sending it to the Muddy River.” The article, written by Steve Wolf, forecasts a completion date of 2028 for the new green space project.
