Coming Up: A Month of Olmsted Programming

Our friends at the Olmsted Network have announced a roster of exciting programs for February. Here are the event descriptions and registration links:

Thursday, February 5 | 1:00 pm ET
We’re convening a partner roundtable to discuss strategies for supporting continued, inclusive park access during periods of heightened federal activity in and around public spaces. Partners in impacted areas will share insights and challenges. They’ll discuss strategies for managing increasing federal activity in everyday park spaces. If you’d like to participate, please RSVP to me, and I’ll share the meeting details.

Thursday, February 12 | 3 pm ET
Designing Belonging: Inclusive Access in Public Landscapes is the next installment in our free Conversations with Olmsted webinar series. The program, which explores how historic landscapes can adapt to contemporary access needs without losing their historic character or civic purpose, will feature: Dr. Austin Allen of DesignJones; Kai Lawrence of Fort Greene Park Conservancy; Alexa Vaughn of Sasaki and Design with Disabled People Now; and Finnegan Shannon, a Brooklyn-based artist and writer whose work centers disability culture.
