DCR Traffic Advisory: Columbus Day Weekend Road Closures
WHAT: The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will close roads in the Greater Boston area Sunday, October 11, 2015 and Monday, October 12, 2015 in order to accommodate the running of both the Boston Athletic Association’s (BAA) Half Marathon and the Tufts 10K.
BAA HALF MARATHON
WHEN: Sunday, October 11, 2015 – 7:30AM to 11:30AM
WHERE: Roads along the Emerald Necklace Park System
- Jamaicaway
- Riverway
- Arborway
- Pond Avenue
- Perkins Street
- Francis Parkman Drive
- Monsignor William Casey Overpass
The following parking restrictions will also be in place from Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 1:00AM to 1:00PM: 132 The Riverway to 162 The Riverway.
ANNUAL TUFTS 10K
WHEN: Monday, October 12, 2015 – 11:00AM to 2:30PM
WHERE: The following roads will be closed to accommodate the Columbus Day / Tufts 10K road race:
- Massachusetts Avenue Bridge
- Memorial Drive between First Street and Reid Overpass
- Reid Overpass
- Arlington Street between Storrow Drive and Beacon Street
- Arlington Street exit from the Storrow Drive Tunnel
The following parking restrictions will also be in place on Monday, October 12, 2015 from 1:00AM to 3:00PM:
Memorial Drive west and eastbound from # 1 to # 450.
